A few nights ago at dinner we were talking about our favorite part of this summer. Not that it’s quite over mind you, but the leaves are falling on the ground and the evening temperatures are starting to get a bit cool (around here anyway).
My favorite part of summer has been the games of frisbee our family has played.
How about yours?
Hmmm – my favorite part of summer has been the garden harvest we have enjoyed since April. PLUS Andrea’s visit AND taking time to enjoy some fishing on the pond/lake.
Mine was going to the lake a lot. I think this may have been Iggy’s last summer to be out doing things like swimming, so I’ll take that as my favorite part.
Well that’s a bit sad to hear, but it’s good to appreciate those times, that’s for sure.
Even though it was in the middle of an impossibly busy several weeks, looking back on it, I’d have to go with the event I didn’t attend very well-the camp-out down the street at Sunrise Park.
There are several reasons for that, but the primary one was the commemorative t-shirt.
That was a damn good time. I hope we can continue it in some way. I don’t think Grandpa had the best time sleeping in a tent.
