I was sitting on this thing while it munched on a fly. Freaky.
The Sioux County naturalist has identified this as a Daring Jumping Spider.

Parade and Splash Pad
A few photos.
Eden was in the Rock Rapids Heritage Days parade as part of her Little Miss Boyden participation this year. Griffin and Piper had a blast catching candy during the parade.
We’ve also been enjoying quite a bit of time at the town’s splash pad since it was installed.
I have no explanation for Piper’s weird hat/dress combo. Nuthin’.
Tired girl
Piper was really tired this evening. She passed out on the couch after supper.
The photo sucks. But the audio is awesome!!!!
Memorial Day
For Memorial Day we went to Mill Creek State Park in Paullina for some fishing and swimming.
There were 10+ itsy bitsy bluegill caught each of which was “petted” by the kids.
The kids had so much fun swimming they didn’t even make it to the playground area.
There are no photos of myself only because I was several hundred yards away fishing most of the time…

Tulip Festival
Eden got to ride on the Boyden float at the Tulip Festival in Orange City this year. This was part of participating in the Little Miss Boyden pageant.
She’ll also be riding on the float in a couple of other town’s annual parades through the summer.
Graduations
Eden and Piper have graduated kindergarten and preschool respectively.

Both girls did great at their programs. Both ceremonies included singing and a bit of dancing.
