Let’s see here……Um…..We’re in Iowa City for the weekend. My buddy James, who worked with me at the REVIEW is getting married. We’re shooting the wedding as well as attending as guests. The kids are with and have already given a fine performance of their shenanigans at the rehearsal dinner. Luckily children are well received by both the groom and bride’s families. Tomorrow is the wedding. It should be a good time as well as a good shooting wedding. It’s in an old church and the couple wants primarily documentary photography which is much more fun than posing if you ask me. I’m excited to get to shoot in this style as the primary style. I’m also honored to be thought of as accomplished enough to shoot his and Jenny’s wedding. It means a lot for another photographer to consider me for such an important day.
It did take us about 7 hours to make the 5 1/2 hour drive. Keep in mind we did stop to buy some clothes. That’s how often I dress up. Each time I have to buy new clothes. So really, we didn’t do too bad.
On the less bright side of things, Grandpa Ernie (my Mom’s dad) has been in the hospital for a urinary tract infection. He’s now out, but in a “rehab” center. I’m not sure what that means exactly but I DO know that he doesn’t seem to be enjoying it. He’s been obstinate and unwilling to participate in rehab even though that’s the only way for him to get back home. We’re all hoping he comes around and starts to cooperate.
Ummm……I guess I didn’t think of anything else.
